DT Winners!

Thanks to all the people for the the submissions for the Clear Scraps Design Team. I would like to apologize to all of you for the delay in picking the winners. The amount of people who sent emails for the design team was overwhelming, so there were many emails blogs and ideas to look at, and I had to do this while moving over the last week in the middle of ice storms. The work that everyone has sent has all wowed me. I said that I was going two pick to people for the design team in the call that I sent out, but was unable to narrow it down to only two, so I decided to make it three instead. So the winners for the Clear Scraps Design Team are:

Cathy Schellenburg from Canada
Lisa Falduto from Wisconsin
Nicole Patrizio from Ohio

I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Thanks
Janet Blair

Clear Scraps "2 New Albums"

I thought I would take this opportunity and share with you the progress we have made over the last couple months with Clear Scraps. Clear Scraps has made it to a midwest distribution center, and also we were picked up in Canada. You will soon be seeing our product on store shelves nationwide. We are very excited and could not be more proud of our accomplishments over the last 60 days! As you may have already seen, we just released 2 more innovative albums, the Christmas tree & The house album. The house album has already made its way around the internet and has been spotted on a few blogs. Both albums can be found on our website, and soon on others.

Clear Scraps Design Team Call 2008!

We are releasing a broadcast that we are on the lookout for a couple good designers who can work well with the "acrylic" concept. We are looking for someone to complete samples for us, as we travel the nation to shows abroad, showcasing our line. The samples you make, we will want you to photograph and post to galleries, blogs and of course submit for publication. If indeed your sample is requested back for this purpose, we will send it immediately back to you for such. Compensation will be worked out in case by case basis. Please send us your resume and a profile of your recent work. If you have been published, please list what magazines. We are a fun and creative company and can't wait to find "the one" or rather "the few" to help us launch our line in a high profile way.

Please take a moment to visit our idea gallery for our current samples and the concept we are after. If you think you are up for it, contact us! I can't wait to hear from each and every one of you! Clear Scraps will be a household name and I would love for your name to be published along with it. Thank you so much for your time. Till next time, Jackie & Janet. info@clearscraps.com

Just Arrived Clear "Acrylic" Albums

This is the new blog for Scrappin' It! We know that we are probably behind the times, but we are new to blogging. We wanted to introduce our new product that we have designed and thought that a blog would be a good way to do it.

We have created beautiful acrylic Albums that you can scrapbook on. These albums come in a many shapes and can be embellished with clear embellishments . The embellishments come in many different shapes and can be embossed, inked and many other techniques to make beautiful albums. Check out the tips section for more ideas.

Jackie, my partner and I have seen these albums around and thought that they were beautiful. We also thought there were many improvements that could be made. We never thought that we would actually begin manufacturing these, but during a conversation we found out that Buddy, Jackies husband, knew of a guy that had the machine to cut these things. Me being a designer thought "why couldn't we make these? So we made some phone calls and learned some things about different types of Acrylic. After being educated on different types of plastic, we decided to give it a try. What we came up with are beautiful albums that we think are perfect for this type of craft. The thickness is not to thick to be bulky, but not to thin to be flimsy. The shapes that we've designed to be used as embellishments are thin enough that they can actually be embossed and not crack. The things that you can do with this stuff, we thought was just amazing. If you want to learn more click here and check out our website.
